Plans have been submitted for a speculative 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse and office building at Markham Vale business park in Chesterfield.

The development is part funded by a £14.2m enterprise zone grant announced in June this year and will provide a new high specification distribution/manufacturing building.

Vivienne Clements, director of Henry Boot Developments, said: "This announcement is excellent news for Markham Vale and, should planning be granted, we are committed to start building before the end of the year.

"It is hoped a building of this magnitude will attract significant investment into the area which will undoubtedly create new employment opportunities."

Chesterfield Borough Council is set to consider the planning application in September. JLL is property agent on Markham Vale.
