Bilfinger GVA secured the deal on behalf of F&C REIT for bays 1-4 at Dearne Mills.

The units are located off junction 38 of the M1 and have been taken by CDS Superstores, which trades as The Range Home and Leisure, with the remainder of the estate occupied by food company Frozen Value.

Alex Simpkin, head of supply chain at CDS, said: "As part of our ongoing expansion and new supply chain initiatives we were looking for flexible, additional space to facilitate our new northern home delivery operation.

"The key attraction of Dearne Mills was its close proximity to our existing northern distribution centre in Doncaster and of course the nearby motorway network."

The deal was negotiated by Rob Oliver, director of industrial and distribution at Bilfinger GVA, who added: "Dearne Mills offered well-located and competitively priced accommodation, and we were confident of attracting a quality tenant."

Bilfinger GVA and CPP were joint letting agents.
