Transport for the North Freight and Logistics Strategy
Stakeholder Survey – Request for Your Input
Transport for the North (TfN) has appointed Mott MacDonald and MDS Transmodal to produce the UK’s first pan-regional freight and logistics strategy.
Producing this strategy will allow TfN to determine the steps that are required, in terms of network and policy development, to realise the freight and logistics industry’s potential. As we gather baseline data and start to develop the strategy, we are seeking input from across the sector in 3 key areas:
- Strengths and opportunities
- Constraints and issues
- What interventions, developments and investments are needed for the sector to realise its full potential?
We would also like to give you the opportunity to share any relevant data or written material with the study team and highlight any project proposals or planned investments which you feel should be considered as part of strategy development.
In order to collect this information, we are running an online survey which can be completed at www.tfnfreight.org. The survey will close at midnight on Sunday 18th October.
On October 1st, we held a stakeholder conference in Liverpool where we presented some of our baseline work and discussed the key areas noted above with stakeholders. The baseline presentation slides from the conference can also be found at www.tfnfreight.org.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to contribute to the development of the strategy.
